Eclipsed Hearts- The End of the War of the Gods
It was said, that mankind made the first wrong move, that the gods were innocent in the struggles we now find ourselves. It was moot now. Standing atop the Master Psycron Crystal I watch the carnage, the eerie glow of the One Crystal shining is blue light upon the bodies of mortals. The gods were retreating, but so too were the races, those that were created by man. Man had already fled, their powerful god-like technology already streaking into the skies to escape the annihilation that threatened to take us. And that power, the power that tossed aside gods and easily killed the races stood towering over everything, was goring itself on the mortals its tendrils could wrap around. It was horrible this power, this warped power of the Master PyronOrin Crystal.
Lady Fyrina, the Avatar of the AI DIVINE cried desperately. You must flee! The others are, you should as well.
I cannot, I tell the ghostly hologram of a beautiful woman dressed in the blue uniform dress of the Unified Race Forces. Standing beside her his weapons bared in my defense growled low.
All is lost if the Master Psycron Crystal is destroyed, the handsome male avatar of AI ARCANE shouts above the roar or the run amok Creature.
There will come a time, when all will be made right, I tell them and toss aside my long black hair. The still wind was upsetting. She will come. The Wings of the Azure Sapphire will come just as the Black Diamond Wings did for the main world.
Itll be too late for help by then, ARCANE shouts slamming his halberds shaft against the ground. Needless to say the power of the AI was growing low as indicated by the ineffectiveness of his affecting the world around him. The silent strike angered ARCANE more.
Dont worry, my friends. I will make time. I am after all the legendary Wings of Violet Amethyst. The Master Psycron will not fall.
The two AI Avatars turn to stare at me incredulous. They both suddenly knew what I was up to and I smiled sweetly at them.
Itll be your duties to keep the races alive until the Azure Sapphire Wings arrive, for without a world they will die. It is inevitable to those who live upon a world.
That has always been our mission, DIVINE says her voice tight.
And what will become of you, dear friend?
ARCANE, DIVINE, I will be the catalyst. The Psycron and myself will not disappear, but we shall be removed from play. Now go my friends. The Last Light Ships must be ready to launch.
But how can we? We have not been moved.
You will live on. I have thought of everything. The Orin Nodes, the Palace of Frydim, all of it
Now hurry make sure those ships leave.
Not too far away I see Ao marshaling his forces, the gods were following the mortals it looked like. Well they would be retreating to Sorindar. While I held no anger towards the gods much less to the humans that helped to create this chaos, I knew that they will not be able to affect the Material Plane until the Azure Sapphire Wings unlocked them from there. You see, my power in conjunction with a Master Psycron was powerful indeed, as were all of my children since the Black Diamond Wings. The great god turns to where I stand and he nods to me, I am slightly surprised but it was obvious he knew as well what would transpire.
I smile at him as ARCANE and DIVINE race to guide the races on their ships. Gently I take the control ring and earring for the two AIs and raise them in my hands. My wings flare up brightly shining their Violet hue in amongst the smoke and darkness. Flashes of power filled the distant field, and the gods were gone, the creature was still goring and those it had captured but the ships were leaving, their bright flares lighting the distant sky. The creature then turned its single red eye on me, were I not used to Hildrans, Fordrans, and Tividors this would have froze me where I stood.
Crystal Cyrendrin lend me your strength. To thee Rendlim I beg your blessing. Bore of Rendlim, I summon you!
In a flash my primary weapon formed around my waist, the long bore cannon flashing and flaring with my power. Below me the Psycron Crystal flared with light grant me its gift of power as I prepared to access the high end functions of my own Linker Core.
Temporal Vortex, Raging Light selected, the crystal responds to my heart and desire. Count Down starting. Ten
I summon you Grand Sword Raysorna!
The creature was moving, it was picking up speed. It thought it knew what I was to do. But the Orin Creature couldnt understand, that I would halt its advance. An advance that not even Ao could halt. Sharp looking tendrils are sent at me as the great violet sword is formed in my hands, the control gems sitting on its sharp pointed tip. My power swirled around it as I lowered its top to the fleeing races. Raging Light was charging, the bore roaring as power was drawn to it. It would need another few moments to be effective. The first black oily tendril strikes at me, the barrier holding fast. Cyrendrin was trying her best, her power holding the barrier and adding to my own Linker Core.
Please, my Daughter. You must come. Fix the Mistake that I made, I shout. I release the power in the sword and watch as darkness, blacker than black eats the ships and stars there. Inside the darkness only twelve reddish glows of the Orin Nodes began their restructuring phase, the Palace was at the center of that all, where DIVINE and ARCANE currently resided. I was sweating and gasping, that alone was a lot of power and I still had to stop the Creature.
The barrier shattered and my eyes open wide with surprise. It was strong, very strong! The first three tendrils strike me, embedding in my chest, leg and sword arm. I scream with pain, my cry echoing into the dead sky. I hold on, my Raging Light trembling as blood trickles down my wounded body. It hurt, it hurt so very much. It then began to pull at me and I scream as I am lifted off of the Master Crystal. I still had seconds. I had to hold on, the whine of Raging Light was growing and growing. I aim Raging Light into the open maw of the creature. I would not be able to kill it, not with my power. Only the Azure Sapphire Wings, my Daughter could, but I would most certainly ensure that it never escaped.
Two
One
Zero. Temporal Vortex, Raging Light fully charged.
I remove you Creature of Darkness, of the chaos and maddened PyronOrin Master Crystal Vrencorat, I shout gasping in pain with ever word. My wings pulse their warning lights, I had to hold on! Times Prison! Raging Light! Fire! The powerful light of the beam that flew from the Bore lit the planet. The Creature stiffened as the beam struck it, and from its mass of muscle and feeding organs the violet hue of my power rippled from it. The ripple crosses the land those dying, those dead frozen in time, a late fleeing ship halts in the air. Fire and smoke become like stone, unmoving. This was the power that I had: the power of Temporal Displacements, the power of Dimensional Shifts, the power of Vyreniece.
Quickly my power rushed, while the Orin Nodes faded from the sky. Out there, those Nodes would create a world. Well a world as far as the races would be concerned. Administered by ARC ANE and DIVINE, it would be a fake world, until it was time for them to return. The power surrounded the Crystal encasing it and then it took me, with tears in my eyes. Yes
my Daughter will know what to do.
*-----*-----*
Vyrencia sat up in her bed her eyes wide and heart pounding, from her ruby lips came a fearfully said word.
Mother!
Vyrenicas Azure Sapphire colored energy Wings flared with her cry and the twin defense diamonds appears suddenly to answer her fear. The pulsing blue light travelled their sharp angles as the young girl sat in her bed drenched in sweat. Her body length blue-black hair was all in disarray, her blue and gold nightgown stuck to her sharp figure. Her blue eyes were wide as tears formed there while a slender hand touched her lips. Her heart was pounding heavily in her chest beating like a frightened rabbit.
Her bedroom door was flung open and Aunt Coraline raced her feathered black wings wrapping around the frightened young girl. Coraline was quick, Vyrencia thought as the older woman pressed the youngers face into her chest, she always knew things almost as fast as the event itself. I close my eyes and cry in her chest sobbing like a much younger girl.
Oh Auntie, Vyrencia sobs into the soft full breasts. Something has happened with Mother, something dreadful.
There, there. Lady Fyrina of the Violet Amethyst is a strong Summoner, there is nothing that she can not handle.
I will go though. Auntie. Once I find out where she has gone I will go.
What, she says pulling her away and putting her at arms length, the concern and fear in her eyes. Vyrencia glances at Coraline wondering if she will say more. She doesnt and the young eighteen year old is left wondering.
Why, shouldnt I go? Coraline, a woman of strength in the family had never been good at hiding things from the children. Fyrina would chastise her for this one, the woman knew.
It was two hours later. Vyrencia was in her armor, the five Azure Sapphires glinting in the bright light of her worlds loving sun across the armor. Her defense diamonds orbited her in slow and long tilted orbits. In her hand she had summoned the Azure Sapphire sword Ayri. She had given the weapon the name on its first summon, it was named after the her sister. The Ruby Red Wings, who had been lost in an accident of her summon. Saddened Vyrencia, the youngest, had to give the name to something so she may be remembered. Vyrencia shook her head letting the wind to take the very long strands of hair. War, battle, had not been seen on her world since the Black Diamond Wings revived the world, but that didnt stop those that would threaten the world with it. Vyrenicas mother had left on a Mission to do just that, to head off a potential threat to the Planes.
An eighteen year old should have other thoughts in her head, like dating, success in the world. Not Vyrencia, she loved her family, loved it so much that she would do anything to keep it whole. And besides there had yet to be a young man in her life that was honorable, that was strong and dependable, that would be able to defend her from the threats the world dare throw at her. A scion of the Black Diamond Wings in this day and age was seen as the one to have all of those and boys would not have anything to do with one of her family. It didnt bother Vyrenica any, oh no, if the boys didnt want to have anything to do with her then they were not worth her time.
So it was to the world of Imbartari was it. A world that should by all rights be safe, as dictated by the Vyreniecian Council. There was neither right, nor reason to alter that worlds progress in any way. But, the young woman thought with a sigh as she began to summon the Long Range Transport Method, if her mother hand gone then something had to be off.
You are taking me arent you? The voice was faint but unmistakable.
Master Crystal Wyeldonzor? The Psycron Crystal appeared in its transport form, the small version of the large sentient crystals hovered before her, pulsing its blue light. It was mysterious as to why a Master Crystal would follow a Wing, but no one had questioned it before.
Well?
It maybe dangerous. The Violet Amethyst might have already fallen.
But that is not what your heart says. Yes dangerous but you hope that she has not fallen. Well then lets go. I am not here to stop you.
If you say so, Vyrencia says with gentle smile and a small laugh. LRTM, Commence! In a flash they were gathered by light and propelled from the green plains. Into the sky, into the dark star studded heavens.
Something however went wrong. Vyrencia was dozing while in transport, otherwise it would be a very long one. She snapped her blue eyes open a feeling of dread filling her heart. Red light, she saw it nearing her blue light. Another LRTM? No, this wasnt LRTM, the young girl thought to herself with growing fear. The Master Crystal was silent, most likely dozing. It was her job to protect the Master Crystal. But how could she in the middle of LRTM?
Her heart pounded in her chest and she licked her lips. There was one thing that would help her evade the inevitable collision.
I summon thee Tsurinia, Barrier Shift! Her wings flashed at her command and the light of her LRTM changed to a violet hue. There was a moment of fear, a moment of wonder before the red light struck and when it did, her barrier shattered and she cried out in pain and terror. Her LRTM shuddered and then she was spinning. Her cry was short lived as the red light struck her again. She felt something happen, her eyes widened, and then everything was ripped from her. There
water, she reached a pain filled hand towards it and then darkness. Before she faded into unconsciousness she felt something wrap around her, encasing her it seemed. Something was missing from her though, it was her last thought.
